Social Responsibility
Whereas micro-credit together with the associated business skills development programs have been confirmed as great tools of community transformation, ENCOT Microfinance Limited appreciates the fact that there are other community needs that cannot be solved by these interventions alone. To this regard, ENCOT Microfinance Limited continues to partner with other institutions and to rally resources behind other social ills that credit and enterprise development alone cannot address.
In regard to the above ENCOT Microfinance Limited has participated directly or indirectly (alone or with other partners) in addressing the following issues:
(i) Relief Food distribution to communities in Mid Western Uganda affected by the COVID-19 Lockdown in 2020
(ii) Distributed Sanitation materials to Masindi, Nakasongola, Hoima markets; Kagadi and Kiryandongo hospitals in response to COVID-19
(iii) Supported KASSOBA Health Camp in Masindi, 2019
(iv) Local democracy, (A partnership with Masindi NGO Forum)
(v) Food security, (A partnership with NARO)
(vi) Environmental protection, (Internal Project Funded by UNDP)
